Strike & Submit is a Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) club based in Salisbury, Wiltshire.

The club is for fighters aged 18 or over, of any size, weight or experience. Our members range from complete beginners to fighters experienced in many disciplines.

Strike & Submit is slightly different from other martial art clubs, in that we do not have an instructor/student relationship. We appreciate that every fighter has his or her own style, that every discipline can contribute something, and that ALL of us have a lot of room for improvement. We therefore let each of our more experienced fighters take turns leading the class, allowing others to benefit from their skills and knowledge.

Every fighter in our club respects the others, and is definitely not there to prove a point or hurt an opponent. We are all there to become, and help others become, better fighters.

So, you want to become a fighter?

We must insist that everyone has a licence before they can train, then they will be insured, there will be no exceptions.

We also ask that you come along to the club to watch a session and get an application form. We get a lot of interest and only want members who will put the effort in and actually train. Turning up is always a good start! If you are unable to do this because you do not live in Salisbury, then please contact us.

We ask for £35 up front. This is £15 for your licence, and £20 for 4 sessions up front. The licence usually takes 2 weeks to arrive, until this time you can watch, but can't train.

You will need a mouth guard and 4oz MMA gloves. 16oz boxing gloves are recommended.

At the moment we only have one MMA session:

Sundays 4-6pm

Once we have more regular members we may extend this session and/or set up a meeting either on Saturday or a week night.

However, to become a decent fighter you will need to train outside of the club. Our regular members all train in various martial arts, fitness, conditioning or strength, throughout the week. So once a member, you will be able to join them and train most evenings.

Cost is £5 per session, and £15 per year for a licence/insurance with the MAAS.

We train in Sarum 76 (Brown Street, Salisbury, SP1 2AS - view map ), a fully fitted martial arts gym. We're two doors to the right of Motaman, there is a blue wooden gate which leads down an alleyway, through a door into the building then up the stairs to the top floor.
